New fitting features

Genie 2 has been updated with new exciting features to support Oticon hearing aids, available for all performance levels:

 

Transfer Settings enable transfer of selected gain-related settings from one hearing aid to another. This is possible between hearing aids of different style, fitting level and product families on the Velox platform.

 

REM AutoFit is an intuitive tool that allows you to complete the REM verification process efficiently whilst ensuring high quality and control over the fitting. REM AutoFit works with several REM systems including Interacoustics, MedRx and Otometrics. Now the VerifitLINK protocol from Audioscan has been added to the list. Still, all measurements are performed from Genie 2 in a guided workflow and REM AutoFit automatically adjusts the hearing aid gain to match the target. Further manual fine-tuning and measurement is also possible.

 

  • Family step introduces Simulate button. Previously a simulated fitting was initiated by selecting a hearing aid family, now, to improve intuitiveness, a simulate button is introduced

  • The connection flow has been optimised by combing the detection dialogue and the speaker selection dialogue, ensuring fewer clicks in every single fitting

Previously purchased Oticon Opn hearing aids will need to be upgraded to support the new fitting features. This is done by using the Oticon Firmware Updater tool, which updates the hearing aids to the latest firmware released in 2018.2.

Oticon’s fitting and counselling tool, Genie, is designed to help you provide top quality fittings that meet the individual needs of each user.

Live demonstration tools and real-life sounds help you demonstrate new products and features. And built-in videos help you teach people how to use and take care of their hearing instruments.

  • Easy access to new versions of Genie 2 or updates as soon as they are released.
  • The updater runs silently in the background and checks for updates automatically – you will only be notified when you need to take action.

Noahlink Wireless is an industry-standard programming device for Bluetooth Low Energy enabled hearing aids, like Oticon Opn.

Oticon Firmware Updater

Oticon Firmware Updater allows hearing care professionals to perform on-the-spot updates to Oticon Opn and Oticon Siya hearing aids as well as on the TV Adapter 3.0 and the ConnectClip. Using the Oticon Firmware Updater provides these clear benefits:

  • Access to the very latest features and performance improvements developed by Oticon
  • On-the-spot service
  • Convenient and time-saving with no need to send hearing aids and connectivity accessories for service

 

The Oticon Firmware Updater is a part of Genie 2, and is available in the Genie 2 2018.2 installation.
